Saying “Yes” to Life

We’ve talked a lot at Coaching and Coffee Talks about asking for what you want in life and ways to manifest those things. But there’s another side to this equation—and that’s when opportunities knock you have to answer.

You have to say “Yes” to life.

This seems simple enough in theory, but practically speaking, there are often leaps of faith involved that are outside of comfort zones. It’s rare that the road ahead gets laid out so perfectly that the  going doesn’t get a little rough. In fact, often you’ve got to walk on faith—before the road appears at all.

So how do you summon this faith?

Practice saying “Yes” whenever your internal guidance system is excited. Whenever you get that excited feeling in your belly.

“Yes” to even the small things. Make it an experiment for one week. Pretend that this upcoming week is a magical week of intricate synchronicity where a path of good fortune is laid out before you. The only thing you have to do is say “yes” to every opportunity that comes your way when the thought of doing it excites you.

Let go of belaboring decisions, making pro or con lists, or crunching numbers. Develop the connection with your intuition. Intuition is really extra sensory perception. It is an additional sense, a guiding system you can trust.

The US Government has been experimenting with this guidance system for decades. Perhaps you have heard of “Gateway” or “remote viewing.” This is nothing more than the CIA’s attempt to professionalize intuition for information gathering. From the conclusion of the CIA’s report on The Gateway Experience:

“There is a sound, rational basis in terms of physical science parameters for considering Gateway to be plausible in terms of its essential objectives. Intuitional insights of not only personal but of a practical and professional nature seemed to be within bounds of reasonable expectations.”

This may be sounding a bit “X-Files,” but maybe they had it wrong. Perhaps “The Truth is Out There” should read “The Truth Is In There.” (In our gut feelings).

According to the U.S. Government, intuition is a highly valuable skill that can be developed. So why not experiment with it and see where it leads you. We believe you will find yourself riding a wave of manifestation.

Until next time
